OK, so what are those advantages?

First off...
Why cover up your beatiful iPod only to turn it into one bulky big block of plastic? Why hide the looks that helped to make your iPod to become the design symbol it is today?

Why sadden Jonathan Ive by sticking your iPod in this silicone encasement that hides the smooth surface of it. Never to be touched again?

We choose for cloth sleeves that allow you to swiftly slide the iPod in and out of it's enclosure. Yes, you can't directly touch the controls anymore, or glance at your screen. True. But unless you're watching video, clicking the 'forward', 'next' and 'pause' buttons still is no problem at all. That's even possible through the combined fabric of your pants and the PodSkirt!

Secondly...
Don't count on these hard cases and silicone sleeves to protect your iPod from scratches. Sooner or later a grain will get in there! And what's worse... The time it took for it to get in there will certainly be the time it will remain in there, happily scratching that shiny plastic surface we all came to love so much.

Not with sleeves you ask? Not really. Again, yes the PodSkirts are open at the top, so grains and other stuff can get in there. But they will quickly fall further down the sleeve or get trapped in the fabric, where it will be enclosed by the soft fibres of the lining. Simply turning the lining inside out from time to time removes unwanted particles.

Thirdly we really want to provide you with a class product. A limited edition product that is well made, looks great and has an aura of dedicated craftsmenship around it. Needless to say we prefer continuously renewed designs above the mass produced (and often ugly) stuff that's out there.
