Logo Design
I've been bugging my wife (Sophie) for months on a row now. She's a graphic designer, and I asked her to create a logo for podskirts. In fact, even the name 'podskirts' was her idea.
Anyway, there I was nagging over and over again about this logo. The site creation was going well, the templates for the fabrication steps for the podskirts were going well... I was just lacking a proper logo.
Stubborn as I am I ventured out into the wonderful world of Adobe Illustrator and I whipped up a logo of my own.

This was my first attempt (PH stood for PodHuggers, a development name I gave to the podskirts)
Second attempt:

Luckily Sophie got to it eventually. And as I'm used of her, she created a logo that was just so much better then anything I could ever create.

The logo represents our podskirts in a superb way. It consists of three parts:
![]()
The 'POD' part refers to the iPod of course. I's a sans-serif font, as is the font that Apple uses in it's iPod product name.

The second part ('skirts') is a stylish, elegant serif font representing the style and elegance of our podskirts. I love how Sophie added this to make the new logo playful and classy at the same time.

Part three is the green abstraction of the sleeved ipod, pulled out of it's podskirt a bit. Originally I suggested using just a rectangle, but Sophie again tweaked it in such a way that it just makes so much more sense. This abstraction will also be used as a recognition icon. It will be featured in the favicon of the site, it will be put on the labels of the podkirts,... this will be the short and iconized logo for podskirts.
So there you go. Meet the new logo. Like it? Feel free to comment.
